799 million Dinars - ACC Exports within 7 months

The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce, during the past seven months of this year, for the export of goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries, increased by 58.1 percent, to reach 799 million dinars, compared to 505 million dinars for the same period last year.
According to the chamber's statistics obtained by (Petra), the number of certificates of origin issued by the chamber during the past 7 months of this year increased by 8.7 percent to reach 20,560 certificates, compared to 18,913 certificates for the same period in 2022.
The certificates of origin issued by the Chamber during the past seven months of this year went to a number of countries, most notably Saudi Arabia with 4813 certificates, the United Arab Emirates 2396, Iraq 1203, Egypt 565, and Switzerland with 14 certificates.
Exports were distributed to Iraq with a value of about 309 million dinars, the UAE with a value of about 142 million dinars, Switzerland with a value of 73 million dinars, Saudi Arabia with a value of about 57 million dinars, then Egypt with a value of 51 million dinars.
According to statistical data, exports of foreign products (re-exports) amounted to about 327 million dinars, agricultural 97 million dinars, Arab 86 million dinars, industrial 85 million dinars, and the rest for other products.
It is noteworthy that the Chamber issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and animal products and raw natural resources, for foreign goods that are re-exported, and for foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.
Certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products are also issued according to the exporter’s request based on the original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and an original and duly certified certificate of origin issued by an industrial chamber proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin.
